Can anyone tell me if this makes sense. Burning on different media and this is what happened...
1. Burnt the first one and it didn't work on alot of DVD standalone's
2. Burnt about 40 more (Ridata DVD-R 8x disks) and they worked perfectly.
3. Got a new spindle of 100 (not sure of the name brand).
4. The first one didn't work as well (jittery on tv)
5. The second one worked fine just like the Ridata
6. Tried the Ridata again, and it got jittery like the first one of the second spindle
7. Burnt the new no-name one's and it's working fine again.
Almost seems like the first one of a brand name/type, it makes a bad one like it's calibrating and they all work fine after that, but if i change media it has to calibrate or whatever again! Has anyone seen this?

Not quite an answer to your question, but I will say that very often the top disc of a spindle is in poor condition, sometimes there'll be scratches on it, etc.
