  1. Which media should I buy to use with Pioneer 107D? I will mainly use the DVDs to burn avi files to be play on xbox, so high compatibility with xbox is essential.

I have been looking at the following media.

    {DV 3184} Datawrite Titanium Silver 8x DVD-R (CMC MAG. AE1)
    {DV 3178} Datasafe 8x DVD-R (CMC MAG. AE1)
    {DV 3179} Datasafe Printable 8x DVD-R (CMC MAG. AE1)
    {DV 3170} Datawrite Yellow 8x DVD-R (CMC MAG. AE1)
    {DV 3159} Datawrite Printable 8x DVD-R (CMC MAG. AE1)
    {DV 3155} Ritek Inkjet Printable (G05 dye) A Grade (8x) DVD-R (RITEKG..05)

    Which would you recommend?

The Datawrite and Datasafe use the same dye, are they physically the same?

Is it worth considering paying the higher price for Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden? If so, which is better?

    Thanks.

Avoid CMC DVD-R like the plague! The 107D will love you if you feed it TY, MCC or Maxell media.
