  1. I have some large high quality Mpeg 2 files (15gb). Is there any program that will automatically create two , three , four, whatever # of DVD's from that one Mpeg file. Preferrably with chapters ??

If not, someone should write a program to do this and Ill buy it.

Try TMPGEnc DVD Author. While it's not fully automatic, it is user friendly and produces quality results. There are guides available if you need them, just do a search

  3. YOu mean, it allows you to author part1 of the mpeg, and then go back and author part 2, and so on, by selecting certain mpeg segments, correct?

I'd rather see some automated procedure for this...

There is no automated way to do this, as this is not how DVDs are made. You say they are high quality - what resolution, what runtime, and what bitrate ? You may find that they have to be re-encoded if the resolution or bitrate are too high.

  5. I don't agree that there is no automated way to make a "set" of DVD's from a big mpeg file. We are talking about computers here..

    I am just recording at 720x480 , 29fps,and i think 6000 Mbit/min.
