It says TMPEenc DVD Author will not write if OS other than 2000 or XP. Does this mean that it will still create valid video_ts folder (author) if I have Windows 98? I can always burn with Nero or Decrypter after. Also, is it much better than Movie Factory 2.5, which is what I use now? I know I could just try the trial and see for myself, but it is better to avoid installing and just removing if possible.
    Thanks

Yes, it works ok with Win98 - but at the end it won't open your burning software. You'll have to close TDVDA, and open Nero or whatever you use yourself and burn.

    Thanks,
Does it have any special advantage over Movie factory? My main complaint about MF is it is slow and doesn't have many menu options. I also get a small break at chapter changes. I don't use its burning capabilities either.

Wait. That can't be. Because I have never ben able to even install it on
my OS: Windows 98 Gold (not SE)

It says W98SE, so yes, it does work.

Last time I tried it, was last year, when I found out that it didn't even install,
because it senses my OS was *not* 98SE.

I have 98, not SE (I am lazy and don't want to bother re-installing all my apps - which are countless). The only thing the website says is that it will not write if other than 2000 or XP.

Well, I am not sure it will work in 98, but it at least installs and launchs. I don't have anything captures to test it with right now. But I would still like to hear how it is better than MF. Thanks

Oh, and what is the ac3 plugin for? I would only use this for cable captures that I do with pcm and picvideo that are then converted with CCE to mpeg.
