    THIS IS SO AMAZING !!!

    go NOW to compusa and buy up the SONY DVD-R 1x-8x

    Gold and black spindles of 50 peices 50DMR47LS3

    in my NEC 16x -/+ and DL drive they are ACCEPTED and SUCCESSFULLY BURN at 16x !!!! I have burned 9 discs (and let me tell you 6minute burns rocks!!) I have done verification on every one and not a failure yet !!

    NewEgg has the drive on sale for Under $70 shipped (I got the silver I assume black and beige are the same drive ?)

    Compusa has the discs on sale for $39.99 buy one get one

    16x goodness for 40 cents a disc !!!

    I am in burn heaven !!!

    Figure I leech so much its only fair to give some good news back !!

    you can already burn at 16 speed with the pioneer 108 for example.ive tried it with datawrite grey,fuji dye 8 speed discs,a few ritek g05 ones,and some others.its not really that much faster at all though,sometimes 12 speed seems quicker.

    That's coz of the write strategy and stuff, bbut i assume u already knew this. CAV ALL THE WaYyYyY!!!

    old news! 16x burning with 8x media has been out for months now with several different dvd burners such as pioneer 108, benq 1620, plextor 716, etc. :P
