I really question that statistic. I worked in tech support for AT&T Broadband and it doesn't seem that likely that 1 in 4 get high speed access just for porn, or even download it at all, at least in these parts. Everyone I've known, with just a few exceptions, who's gotten broadband access and downloaded adult content quickly grew tired of it and moved on...

I got broadband so that webpages would load faster.

That wont speed up webpages that have to be created on the server first, like this website. You know each time you look at a forum page, it has to generate a page with the info on it, avatars, etc. Vs. a static page.

Trust me, even when generated by the server its still faster on Cable compared to 56k.

But I use it for newsgroups & its much faster because you can use Newsbin Pro or Grabit & open 8 connections, in theory, getting 8x the speed.
