I have a little problem.... I spill some soda on my laptop.... and it didn't detect the battery anymore. Even I reboot it and reinstall window... Disk Defragmenter didn't want to degragment unless there's enough power..In the main time, it also didn't detect that I connect an outlet too... Is there another way I can get pass this so it can defrag my system?

I would take it to a shop and have them clean it. You may get it back working by yourelf, but who knows what else may have been damaged?

Not to make light, but I think a disk defrag is the least of your worries right now. Depending how new it is, I'd agree with the others' advice...

I had something similar happen to my old PII laptop... I spilled gatorade on it. I quickly powered it off and cleaned off the keyboard, which took most of the hit. I then let it sit to dry off. When I plugged it back into the AC the lights for the battery WOULD come on, unlike your laptop. But when I tried turning it on nothing would happen. Now its collecting dust...
