I was wondering if you need a Lite-on DVD burner to use KProbe or if it will work with a Lite-on CD burner/DVD-ROM drive.

I believe it will work with all lite-on drives (even rebadge), but why would you want to scan something that you did not burn?

DVDInfo and Nero CD-DVD Speed tests are fine on most drives, including Pioneer. kprobe is overrated. In fact PI/PO tests are overrated.
