  1. Hi, i am considering buying a DVD-RW drive. but , there are so many different type out there and i don't really know which to get, there are DVDRAM, DVD-RW, and DVD+RW . my goal is to burn DVDR to play on stand alone DVD Player, and backing some Playstaion 2 games. So which one should i get? I am looking at Pioneer DVR-A03, is it a good drive?
Please give me suggestion if you can, thank you very much to you all.

  3. Thanks for the info, but i read that HP DVD+RW can only write to DVD+RW media, it can't write on any DVD+R(not out yet) , nor DVD-R. SInce DVD-R is the common media and it is much cheaper, it is hard for me to dicide, I don't think i want to buy all DVD+RW for my backup.

  4. You are correct, birdgod. The HP does only RW, which range between $15 and $25 US. (if you're buying individually). DVD-R discs range from $5- $15, but I've seen them as low as $3. I'm getting the Pioneer myself this xmas.
