Hi,
I have a PAL VCR, capable of playing NTSC tapes. With the Scart to my TV works fine, but I want to edit a friend's video, so I want to put it in my Sony VAIO via Gigapocket, with only CVBS input in it (no SCART). I expected the video signal to be converted to PAL in the VCR, but I get the distorted NTSC signal in my PC.
Any clues on:
- is the signal really converted to PAL in these types of VCR's?
- If yes, is it converted in the RGB signals, and not in the CVBS signal?
- If yes, any clues on how to workaround this? I have seen some NTSC to PAL boxes, but this is a one-time thing, so I don't want to spend $300 on that...
Thanks for any help!
