    Is HP DVD+RW compatible with standalone DVD? Last day someome post about Ricoh DVD+R disc cann't play on his standalone DVD, but the DVD-R can play. Is there some problem with the HP DVD100i or nothing wrong.

    The only real problem is that this HP drive isn't compatible with DVD-R discs, only DVD-RW, which cost 2-4 times as much.

    I tried my first DVD+RW on a memorex disk on HP 100i.
    The DVD worked on my sony s560D DVD player.
    celeran 450mH,160mb ATI-AIW card. I didnot try the DVD-R.
