  2. I don't understand - why are you encoding a still image to demonstrate the results of a motion encoder?

    What would it show, since there's no motion or changes to encode between frames? What am I missing here in what you're trying to do?

    You need to start over and restate what you are trying to do. Is this for TV display or some other purpose?

    What are your settings ? Is this CBR or VBR ? What is the bitrate ?

    Mainconcept can tend to be a bit soft in it's output, so the edges where the bars meet may suffer because of this.
