I am now have encountered the following issue with the 642/37 FW 1109. When inserting a certain film, I find that the subtitles automatically activate when it start. I know there a way to reset it so when you restart the disc (as you know the the 642 can remember some settings for replay) it default BUT in this case with this deck, when the disc is removed, the deck is turned off and this particular disc is reinserted for play(even after resetting), the subtitles again automatically start. Of course turning off the subtitles isn't a problem but it I am just wondering why the disc doesn't start without subtitles which is the norm. I have had 642/17 and another 642/37 (both FW 1109 and returned because they seemed to shut down on occassion while manipulated the remote....which this deck has done as well and to which I have resigned myself to the fact that it is a function of the deck or something I am doing wrong) BUT I don't remember the subtitles with this particular film automatically activating.
Any explanations?? Thank you and forgive the long explanation.
