Capturing DD from Toslink/optical with Audigy 2 Platinum?

I'm trying to capture the DD stream from a Dish PVR (the 522) optical out, straight into the optical input on my Audigy 2 Platinum.

I've read elsewhere on this forum about some successes folks have had using other soundcards, but nothing specific to the Audigy 2.

I've also seen it mentioned that the soundcard needs to do bit-perfect recording (mine does, or at least it is one of the options you can activate, it may have something to do with these "ASIO" drivers that come with the card) but I haven't seen any posts stating that anyone's tried it.

Anybody have any luck with this?
