any of you see the car called, "SCION XB" i think it's manufactured by TOYOTA. it was a car i was considering if i didn't fix my honda civic. it's a neat looking car and the interior is quite roomy. i got to see the car after finding out a friend of mine bought one last month. here's some pics of it.

WhenI first say a billboard for one many moons ago they had it at the perfect angle and I was like "wow that looks cool" when I saw it at other angles I was like "thats ugly as hell, I'd just get a Honda element".
Also yes its by toyota. Get a Element or a Toyota Matrix. -
I personally think it looks damn ugly. Takes boxy to a whole new level, Volvo would be proud.
-
the element looks better i think

I think the car looks really ugly. In fact I think it makes Janet Reno look good.
And why are you in such a rush to buy another Japanese car, seeing how your Honda was about as bad as a Chrysler? -
It's a toaster on wheels.
The only Scion that is decent is the tC.
-
that looks pretty good

There's an Element I see around town all the time with the plate UGLYSUV. I still think the Scion is uglier. They don't offer much in the way of options either. I wonder if those are all factory wheel covers.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore. -
the Element is not a SUV really - its built on the modular new civic platform and really is more a commercial vehicle in some respects -- what they call a lifestyle vehicle now ..

i'll stick with my old focus for daily transport ..

that focus is much sweeter than the UK focus.
that Scion thing is a heap of ugly crap. it really looks like someone was in their living room and said "What happens if i build a living room with WHEELS?!" voila, a room, with wheels. -
looks like the Nissan Cube in overall shape

i'd never buy a american brand name car.....in my opinion they're crappy.....why do you think Japanese brand name cars rate so highly because they're made better.....although most major japanese car makers now have factories in the USA & CANADA.....the honda accord, crv, and pilot are still made in japan.....the rest are made in USA & CANADA.....
thanks for all your comments on how you all say the SCION is ugly.......at first i thought the same but it grew on me.....as for the ELEMENT that is one hell of a fugly vehicle and it still is.......

I really don't care for it all that much.
However, I would keep it if someone gave me one as a present -
I'm thinking I might get rid of my civic and get a TC. I found out I can get leather interior which was something that I really wanted to get in a new car. Price point is really good as well.

I think Toyota created Scion so that they would not immediately be associated with such ugly cars. Even the half way decent looking Tc is ugly when compared to other 2DR hatchbacks. I mean compare it to the Hyundai Tiburon, Mercury Cougar, or even my old Escort. The Tc just doesn't compare. And needing those types of engine repairs after only 77,500 miles is crappy, I don't care if it's 14 years old. My 1984 Escort was much better than that.

honda now has started making small jet engines oddly enough"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -

maybe this is why you see Toyota's everywhere

Top Gear tried to destroy a Toyota Hilux in an old series and couldn't. It was funny watching them try as it still drove after they:
drove it into a tree
dropped a caravan on it
parked it in the sea and let the tide have it's way with it, which included snapping the ropes it was tied down with and sweeping it away
hit it with a huge metal building destroying ball
set fire to it
blew up a 20 storey building with the toyota on the roof
makes me think of John Taylor's Christine
you can watch it here with Real Player (it's about 15 minutes long).
