FlashGet is a program that takes Files Hosted on HTTP sites and splits them into like 5 parts and downloads all the parts at the same time making it way faster.

Make sure you pick 5 parts when using flashget also you might need to open Flasg get and then right click the file link and copy shortcut and then flashget will open then pick 5 parts to download.

I love Flashget! It is by far my favorite download accelerator (don't care for the ads actually in the program, but that is easily fixed). At school on my laptop (with some healthy access to our Wireless 802.11g network) I was able to nab the 760MB (around there anyway) demo of Half-Life 2 in around 18 minutes with it...

I use GetRight myself. A download manager comes in handy when you have broadband, especially if you're getting good speeds.
