You could try Audacity , a freeware audio editor. Look at this link for how to do it.

  6. it all depends on your audio source. If its a mono clip, forget it. However if its stereo or some tracks from a 5.1 , then this highly increases your odds.

I did something with an original mono clip that they re-made into a stereo (for a certain film). I wanted the music and using soundforge and it's channel converter i was able to remove everything while keeping the music. Be warned though that by doing this you will lose a little something from the music track due to the filtering.

You're best bet is if your source is a 5.1 audio as usually the music is on the rear speakers alone with nothing else.

As said before, it depends on how your source material is recorded. I've has some success with this...

it almost worked i maxed it out to 100 % but you still hear a buzz in their voices.

i encodid this file from an avi from the beginning and now it is mpeg audio layer 2. sampling frequenzy 4800 channel stereo

    bitrate 384

it worked partially but still that buzz of their voices can i convert it to another format perhaps?

No, you won't get rid of the voices completely, if the source isn't recorded in a very special way. (And you might lose a lot of other stuff in the process...)
I think the best source would have voice/vocals 100% equal between left & right channel, all other instruments 100% left or right channel only. With such a source, it'd be possible to remove vocals 100% without touching anything else, but that kind of souce is rare, to say the least...

  10. Can i ask something? If such procedure is done, then any information involving the voices is lost from the file right?I have a video in which oddly in the ending the diaogues cannot be heard, only background music is heard? Is there any way of having the dialogue sound?

  11. I thought so too but i'm wondering if the sound data is saved somewhere so there can be something done...
