  1. Hi everyone..I am trying to convert ripped dvd files on my hard disk to avi, and I have done this a lot before, but this time I am getting the following error:

    MPEG2DEC: Too much sample
Try other frame rate or change 'Detect/Force 24 Hz' flag.

Of course I tried the suggestion in the error, but I still have the same problem. I tried fudging around with the input and output settings, but without any luck.

Anyone know what this means, and if I can do anything about it?

    Thanks!

I have run into this too. I was able to convert a couple of my DVDs to MPEG wth DVDx 2.0 but now get the error everytime: "Too much sample." No luck with any setting changes.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,

    m

If anyone is interested I solved this problem by re-installing the software. It seems it was stuck on an output length of 1:37. No matter what disk I input it would think it was 1:37 long.
    Bizarre, no?
