Hi.
I'm sure this is a very basic question, but what the hell...
I'm making 50 DVDs to be given away to some customers. I want them to be playable on most standalone players. Which is the best media to use for wider compatibility, having in mind I have no control of the brand of players the people who gets them will have?
Thanks

I personally have used Maxell (made in japan not taiwan) and the Taiyo Uden..sorry about teh spelling...anyway i bought those from rima and the maxell eblive it or not from walmart. I have not had a problem with any of my customers with any of those 2 brands. Any otehr there were problems for me.

1. "Made in Japan" usually best outcomes.
2. If using "+R", be sure to set to DVD-ROM booktype. "-R" good too, just can't change booktype.
3. Don't use labels. Do not put stickers or any other foreign objects onto disc. Instead, use inkjet printable discs with the proper inkjet printer (like Epson R200, R300) or termal printable discs with thermal printer.
