  1. I'm going into my last year of university studying a Bachelor degree in Electronic Commerce. In the next month or so I've got to pick the elective courses that I'll do for the next semester and also what will form my major.

The course has four recommended majors that you can choose from; accounting, software engineer, financial management and lastly information environments or you can choose your own major from any of the undergraduate courses that the university offers so pretty much any subject matter. None of the recommended majors appeal to me at all so I thought I'd look at what I want to be when I finish uni. It's then that I realised I don't really have a clue about what I want to do for a career.

What do you guys think I should do to help me decide? I'm going to go see the career counsellor at the university in the next few weeks to see if that helps but I thought I'd start thinking about it now so I can give a few ideas when I get into the meeting.

That seems rather a short time(1 year) to determine a major.Could you become a French or art history major at this point?

I actually applied online to be on the Australian version of Big Brother but was too lazy to send my video tape in. Too bad as well, I had my strategy worked out as well of getting into the house and either (a) hooking up with one of the females or (b) becoming a total smart arse with another of the housemates.

I've also considered running a series of porn websites but I'm not sure what the legalities are in terms of producing it here in Australia. It's still on the books as a viable option though.

The course itself is only 3 years. Womans philosphy does appeal to me though.

not medicine -- unless you own a successful drug company -- even then witness some major lawsuit come along and wipe you out or really kill your profits (happened many times)

real estate - yes in some areas ... but certainly not in all by any means ....
