New to this. Been using princos for a while, but bought some RitekG04's the other day as the store I went to didnt have any princos left.
    Ive got a 4kus 2s81 (Liteon 812s).
I use shrink, and then burn with nero.
I always burn my 4x at 2x just to be sure, and up until now the princos have been working a treat.
The 1st two riteks ive done have failed, with an error on nero at the end of the burn of "Could not perform end of Disc-at-once"

Had 3 princos left so I popped one in and did the exact same process, and it has burned fine.

Ritek's are listed as compatible. Im using the latest USG4 firmware.
Is there any way to fix this, or are the remaining 48 riteks to be used to stop my furniture scratching the hardwood floors?
I have no idea what im doing, whatsoever.

  2. Try using a different software and see if it helps the burning problem...

Yep, burning at rated speed (both 2x or 4x supported)
Both brands were -R although my burner says it will support both+/-.

The only burn software I have is nero, as it has always worked, so never bothered to get anything else.
    I am looking at alternatives.
I have no idea what im doing, whatsoever.

Create a single ISO file with Shrink then burn that file with DVD Decrypter. To create a single ISO file the HDD has to be formatted NTFS. I use Princo blanks and never had a problem since adopting the above method.

Forgot to add Princo are regarded by many on this forum as rubbish and if you take their advise you will not buy Princo. All of my friends are using Princo without any problems whatsoever. Some members will say Princo's are unstable after a few reads, however, my copy of The Bodyguard has been played at least 15 times over the last 9 months and is still as good as the day I did the back-up. There are also many MANY Princo users confirmating having the same results as I am getting. More importantly, they are the cheapest media to buy.

    Thanks Blinky.
I gave that a go. Updated to the latest version of decrypter, got shrink to create an iso file an then burn through decrypter, and it said it was successful. However when I played it in both my philips stand alone dvd + then in my pc through powerdvd it stop/start hangs almost from the beginning. Its the ritek discs that are doing this. I ve since bought more princo's, which are working fine.
Even though riteks are listed as compatible I think this is my burner...
My Bro has a pioneer burner I'll see if he wants 40 something riteks for free.
I have no idea what im doing, whatsoever.
