Outlook Express opens slow?

Hi,

I use outlook express and when I click the Icon to launch the app it takes a good 30 seconds before the splash screen turns off. It doesn't load anything just the little blue OE box. Once opened it runs fine. Anyone know how to correct this? It worked great for a while then all of the sudden it took a poop

For all you mozilla guys, I've used the thunderbird program and I can't stand it. It won't automatically go to the new messages in inbox when you launch it. A little pet peev of mine. That one flaw drove me crazy

Have you disabled Messenger?

if so OE is looking for it and must be modified:

I disabled messenger the other day. Didn't realize that would happen. The 1st reg mod worked perfectly.

No problem....

OE slowdown at start up has to be one of the top ten pc annoyances of all time.... right after you jump through all the hoops to get rid of messenger.

I tried thunderburd for this very reason but I can't stand the "won't go to new mail" in the inbox thingamajig
