Is it possible (or more importantly, worthwhile) to upsample audio (IE CD audio) from 44.1 to 48 without losing quality?
Or, can I author a DVD (it's a music video DVD I'm replacing audio w/uncensored CD audio) with 44.1 audio without compatibility issues (using the Philips DVP-642 or whatever it is).
Thanks for any help/advice!

For compatibility, I would convert to 48K for DVD. Some players may not like 44K. AFAIK, You should not lose any quality. If you author with TMPGEnc DVD Author, it can convert the audio to 48K in the authoring process.

Actually, some people prefer to use audio software to upsample to 48khz, before they run it through an authouring program..
You're less likely to run into synchronization issues this way.. -

What program would you recommend for the upsampling? I currently have Adobe Audition v1.0 b3211.2 (formerly Cool Edit) and Goldwave v5.04.
I say without quality loss because I remember about a year or so ago trying to upsample a WAV file I ripped from a CD to 48k & it sounded horrible ... I may have had a setting or two off, but I didn't try it again to find out. -

I've never had any issues (except it seems to take a while)..
I believe the shortcut was "F11"..I may be wrong..It's been a while.. -
And of course don't forget: Older versions of soundforge (the ones you can buy second hand really cheap nowdays) are a very good choice!
