  1. I bought a ATI Radeon 9200 128 MB Video card from Futureshop about 8 months ago, In Canada for $149 + Taxes and a guy at works asked me if I'd sell it to him, what would be a fair price for it ?

    also he has an old P2 450 Mhz I told him the video card might be to good for his system what do you think ?

    you be the judge... it will work for him.. but he sounds like hes not all that up on computer stuff.. he would be smarter to search on the net..

    Shame it'll cook his motherboard though. It's an 8X AGP card and so won't work on a motherboard slower than 4x. With a 450MHz P11, does he even have AGP?

    thats not true.. they are backwards compat. i jsut put an 8x in my moms 2x mobo. and my old celery 400 has agp..

  6. I went through the AGP 2x 4x thing 2 years ago and at that time AGP 2x cards had a solid area with the connectors. 4x AGP cards had a break in them.
    The 4X card would fit but not work in my 2 computers that had AGP 2x.

    well the different versions og AGP run at different voltages, but i have not yet run into one that they would not fit in any slot.. im sure its possible but ive not run into one that was not backwards compat even on cheap boards.. maybe some e-machines or something.. but for the most part he should be fine
