  1. Hello people,

I'm newbie to this site and to all video format.

Anyway, I gotten a video film from a friend and it says: dvdrip-digi-ogm.

I tried to burn to regular dvdr....I couldn't

then I tried virtualmod to demux like an avi but I still couldn't.

I searched almost everywhere in this site, still couldn't find an answer.

Can anybody help me out here? Please?

thanks in advance for whatever you can help me with.

First you have to determine what type of file you have. Run it through AVIcodec or Gspot to see what the audio and video formats are. It's probably an XVID with ogg audio. If so, you should be able to demux the sound to WAV with Virtualdub Mod. Can you play it on your computer? VLC Media Player usually works.

I tried to use virtuadubMod...but it won't let me open to demux it.

I can't even make an extra copy so if I screwed up the file, I still have a backup file.

What's even worst is...it's self delete itself after awhile.

Now, you tell me what's going on?

It sounds more like a corrupted file. VLC player should be able to open a XVID/Ogg file. What does AVIcodec say about it?
