KVCD.NET might be able to help. After all, it is one of their tools, and only people that have paid the $2.99 can get to it
    If in doubt, Google it.

Hey, I'm sure you spend more than $2.99 on movie rentals!
I find $2.99 well worth it for just a one time payment
As a matter of fact, I spend at least $150.00 a year on BlockBuster rentals

    I don't actually. I don't rent at all.

The point I was trying to make was that the majority of people here would not have heard of cqmatic or know what it's used for, yet I'd be pretty confident that almost everyone at KVCD.NET would know about it. True or false ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

I'm not so sure about that 8O
If anyone hits www.kvcd.net, there's a huge screenshot of cqmatic and calcumatic right on the main page!
    It's pretty hard to miss.
But maybe you're right, and I guess the program exposure and discussions are more localized at kvcd.net forum.
    Good point!

Isn't that just the "new version" page ?

The links for discussion go inside the forums

    @animatron:
I was referring to the usage of it more than the sheer "knowing it exists"
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Something similar but free.

cqmatic is free. At least once you get in the forum, or get it somewhere else
I tried CQTester some time ago. It's light years behind cqmatic

I had a look at CQTester the other night, and FWIW, I tried one of the KDVD templates as well

    Not for me I'm afraid
    If in doubt, Google it.

  11. of course i need to know some specific things.

when i say "how to use cqmatic", i don't mean the porgram it self.

i mean the program with tmpgenc.

i mean, i have the time and the avg bitrate, ok NOW what ?

what's what i'm going to do with tmpgenc ?

    that's what i don't understand.

    -----------------

why just don't put a quick step by step process ( including the fact that you have to browse for the tmpgenc excutable ), cause this part of the process doesn't say it anywhere in the internet.

and also using a template as reference.

Save the project you are encoding with tmpgenc and with cqmatic open click on settings and browse for the tmpgenc exe and after you do that click on Open Project and browse for the project file you just saved with tmpgenc.

After you have input the bitrate and movie time then click on execute after you have picked full encode or prediction only.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

  13. And remember to save your project file as a "Text" file. Otherwise it will not work.
