  7. rooney has lost a lot of respect from me cos of first ditching his homeclub to join man u and throwin the armband in memory of emyln hughes on floor. He should never play for england again. Owen and Defoe all the way. Smith and vassell and andy johnson on bench. no need for rooney

  10. Rooney may well be a twat, but when he is on form he is a huge asset to the England squad. He just needs to grow up.

My home town of course, Swindon. Pretty depressing .
I am a football fan but do not actively support any team from the premiership. Just enjoy watching whoever is playing. Used to follow Leeds as a kid but only because I had several friend who were Leeds fans. Just as well I grew out of that one.

  21. Oh man you were robbed. How many more major **** ups like this before they bring in video evidence.

The thing is the shot was from so far out that the linesman was probrably a fair way up the pitch so how can he make a decision from that angle whether the ball crossed the line or not.(mind you it was so far over the line you could probrably still tell if you were paying proper attention). This sort of situation is a prime candidate for video evidence and would only take a couple of seconds, its an absolute black and white decission which was got horribly wrong.

  22. I'm watching it on Sky sports now. The linesmen was running back from the half way line with his head down.

Apparently they are talking about putting a microchip in the ball so they know when it crosses the line.
