I have a hp300i burner. It writes at 4X, I've never had a problem burning at this speed, but my question has to do with the DL writers/faster speeds. I use copytodvd to burn movies, if I purchase 16X how could I choose to set the writer speed? Not sure if anyone is going to get what I'm saying....How would I choose a slower speed to burn at. Forexample, Right now I write at 4x, say I want to go 2.4x(won't but numbers work for my specific writer) how would I set it? Is is set in the software I burn with or the writer itself?

You set it in your burning software. I'd think that all programs would have this option.
