  1. I ripped the main movie out of a DVD. no menus nor anyting. Itīs just a collection of files named "vts_04_1.vob" to "vts_04_7.vob".
    there is vts_04_INFO.txt, vts_04.lst vts_04.idx and vts_04.d2v.

there is NO video_TS.IFO, VOB or BUP, nor VTS_01 to 03.

The vts_04 collection is 6 GB.

Question one: Can I turn this into a playable movie that plays on a standalone dvd? (question one point five 8) ) How?

Question two: How can I compress this to fit in a 4.6 disk?

    thanks. :)

    Hello,

Dvdshrink - click open files and point it to your folder.

Then it will make a new compatible dvd folder and if you have nero it will auto burn. Or make an iso out of the compressed folder and burn with dvd decrypter

  3. Kevin's right; but for some reason if u rip the 'movie only' files w/ DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink wont read them. You'll have to rip the entire DVD w/ DVD Decrypter then use DVD Shrink to remove the extras and shrink it to one DVD-R...

Put the original DVD back into your DVD drive, and open DVDShrink. this guide should be able to assist. If it doesn't, try any of these.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Yep you are right the new DVDshrink versions will not open a movie only rip from the HD. DVDshrink 3.0 beta 5 was the last version the would do that. So the easiest way do it is to use jimmalenko’s guide. Or If you happen to have DVD2ONE hanging around it will do it also.
