Ok in the Title area they have a First Play, that would be the first Video to play,Then you can ad another clip, then your first play video again and repeat this step,or you can edit the First clip into your Video every 2 mins.I hope understand your question.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, I am still having a problem. I have created a first play (with a little 1 in the corner) which is a 5 second avi which is set to play once. I have created a second menu item after the first play item with just the words menu on it, when I test the menu from the FINISH menu I get the following error
Lost menu link(s) found in:
Menu name: < MENU >
and the avi plays but does not continue to the static menu.
Thanks for your help

Your menu is blank, or you have too many menus. You did something wrong. Start over.

you have a menu image and in one corner you want a small video clip to play, then you want it to go to a regular menu or the main menu with just words on it (a picture).
Your problem is that your 5 second video clip is not a menu, it is a first play video file. It is only linked to the main menu because the main menu is next to be displayed.
DVDWS will not allow you to put a small video in the corner (that I know of), the first play will play on the whole screen...or should.
If you are wanting a small video clip to play and then go straight to a static menu, do like you were told above. Drop your first play file into the first play spot on the timeline, then drop your main video file on the timeline and when it comes time to make your menu, make sure your main menu occurs between your first play and your main video.
But if you just want it to play in the corner, I suggest you use a program like Adobe Premiere, put the video clip in the corner (transform filter), put your static menu on track 1, video file on track 2 and move and resize the video clip to suit yourself. Now if you want it to seem like it only plays once, then just make the output video file as long as you want by making your static picture have a longer duration. Say for example, if you make the duration of your "word" menu 3 minutes and your video clip plays for 5 seconds, everyone will see the video clip and will start the main movie before 3 minutes is up and the motion menu repeats.
Then you can take that file into DVDWS as a motion menu and you don't have to fight with DVDWS trying to get it to work like you want. -
