Okay here is my problem.
I put out a christmas DVD for all of my friends and family. Everyone loved it and thought I did a really good job. I now have to avoid certain people who have different memorable events coming up as they want me to make a grand presenentation out of their daughters confirmation.
To the question.
Are there any books or web sites that people can turn me to that have ideas for "themes" for family videos. For example the DVD I sent out was the "ABCs" of 2004 in which I had a book that turned into pages with A is for...
and went A to Z. Can't use the same for 2005 and am looking for creative ideas or actual movies that I can dl to get an idea.
Thanks

Sounds like you did a nice job, I'll be looking for you at the next film fest. Ask your next subject what they have in mind and remind them that you are just starting out. Try to keep things short, simple and sweet or it will become a chore rather than fun. If they like what you do and want copies then it is time to talk money. Even if it is only to cover cost. Watch out though money can cause hard feelings. If they don't think that they should pay you tell them that you are short on time and have to service your paying customers first. Don't let you freinds think that you are a big time pro if they want a pro job at a special occasion. Let them hire a pro and you take whatever fun footage you want. You can then edit the pro and your footage together to make up what ever you like. Basicly I am saying don't promise anything, let what ever happens happen, and if anyone likes what you end up with, sell it.
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?
