  1. Using Ezvcd v1.15a and a guide I found on this site, I tryed to "back up" a movie and have the following questions below;

    Inputs:
    All defaults on input
    N. american NTSC

    Encoding:
    highest quality
    XVCD
    1 CD

    Output:
    Make Bin/CUE

    Questions:
    MPG/CD file comes out in blk & wht, why?
    No menu functions on burned CD, why?
    Why does EZVCD ask to play a few seconds of movie first?

  2. what codec is the source (or is it analog/raw)
    the black and white may be attributed to wrong color space (playing NTSC on a PAL TV or vice versa)
    there's no menus because you didn't make any/put them on the cd

    It probably wants you play some of the movie first to help crack the encryption.
