  1. Installed mmc 7.2 a couple of days ago (XP o/s) and have been trying to get rid of it ever since. mmc 7.2 seems to "take over" and messes up my Avisynth, script no longer works when I test it out with winmediaplayer. I really want to have TV tuner but encoding and capture are critical apps too! I'd go back to MMC7.1 if I could but thus far reinstalls from disc don't work, even after carving ati out of the registry. Looking for suggestions.
    Thanks

I'm not sure if this will help or not but you could try a re-install over your existing XP installation without a format. I find that this sometimes solves sticky problems that defy logical explanations. I've never done this with XP (yet) but with W98 I did it a few times.

Sorry (glad?) to hear about your experience though because I was just about to install MMC 7.2 and I guess now I will hold off lest I suffer the same fate. I have a Radeon VIVO 64 DDR - what card are you using?

Check to see if XP created a "Restore Point" prior to the installation of 7.2. You could try to revert to that point.
