We are looking for an after christmas "deal" on a dvd recorder. I have found the LiteOn LV-W5001 discounted at circuit city for $199. I've read the reviews on here, and it seemed to be a good unit. Is there any other units you would recommend, in the same price range,,,$200-$250? I have a LiteOn 411s in my computer, and it has performed quite well for me. I was wondering about some of the Panasonic models, if they might be better? We just want to use it to record some VHS home movies we have over to DVD.
thanks,
coadman

Panasonic DMR-E55 is within your price range. It is easy to use, and you will be very happy with the picture quality. I picked mine up from circuitcity.com for $212. Really good deal.
