Well the snow doesn't come for a little while - though not sure about the track for Ohio...

Here in Kansas City the wind chill is -5. Dangit, three days ago I was running in shorts and a long sleeve t-shirt! Stupid midwest weather and its unpredictability.

KC isn't moderated by water like Michigan is (thanks Great Lakes ).

We can still have the temp dive below 0 but nothing like Minnesota and some of the plain states since nothings stopping the wind and the other systems.

Also the lakes do give us lake effect snow but they make it nicer than it could be here

I spent one winter in Madison, WI and let me tell you, I MUCH prefer the Kansas winters!!! Talk about unforgiving snow and temperatures. I know other people have it worse (canada, et cetera). But I am used to halfway mild winters, okay? I can't take all that incessant cold.

All the years we have lived in Albuq. we got genuine snow on Christmas ONCE!

I miss those snowy Christmas mornings. One year, when I was about 11 or so, I got a new bike I had been desperately wanting. There was about 8 or 10" of fresh snow from the night before. Did that stop me? Oh haillll no!! I was out riding it down the middle of the streets, as there was zero traffic. The best Christmas morning I can remember 8) 8)

We probably got up to 10 inches of snow here....

Hopefully with the afternoon clear they'll be able to clear out the rest of the streets.
