    is there any software/hardware that will allow me to output my avi file straight out to my video recorder/tv so that i can record them like i can with my holywood card and dvd station with mpegs. at the moment i have to covert avi to mpeg with tmpgenc

    most newer videocards has a tvout function that you can use.
