What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

  4. I find it best to just experiment with the software and of course the longer you use it the better you become at photoshopping.

I usually just call my cousin and ask him for the "quick answer." If I don't specify "quick," he'll bore me to death with his photoshop guru-ness.

Who needs tutorials? I just ask colleagues if I need something.

That's about it.... the only time I ever look in a manual is if I'm looking for something specific and that is usually limited to doing a search through the help file. A lot of the images I have created took hours the first time but can be be done relatively fast now. Just like anything else you have to use it, might get some good tips from a tutorial but that's about it. The problem with those tutorials is they have them set up before hand and they make it look to easy.

    The question I read was

where everyone gets their photoshop ideas
Not tutorials. I've wondered myself what triggers the strange imagination of some of you photoshoppers (except northcat. I know that's alcohol)

EDIT: Of course, the thread title says tutorials, so who knows!?!?

Experimentation ...with the occasional check with the online help file. That's usually how I learn something new

I visualize what I want, determine what I need to do to accomplish it, and finally.............Just do it.

I have an old "Photoshop 6 Wow" book, but I haven't read it in a long, long time. It's a good book though, I recomend it to everyone.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

You should never look at tutorials for inspiration. That's how you get so much work from different "artists" that all look exactly the same.
