So we used the new one from then on. But last winter we didn't put up any trees because our departure date for Egypt was 12/27, and no decorations got strung either because we would only get to enjoy them for a few days.
This year we missed the decorations so much, my wife suggested we put up the old tree too, and decorate it with only hand-made ornaments, and have traditional German-style candles. We cheated a bit and used electric candles, but the effect was the same. She added a train set around the base since we used the big tree for the presents. The big tree (on left) has all the other ornaments
And let me add, God bless you all and may you and your families have a safe, Merry Christmas and a prosperous, Happy New Year. -
Wow, somebody's in a festive mood.
Hey, I've kept you on the edge this year.....(no explanation 'cause the peanut gallery has ears!) 8)
I'll have to wait 'till next year to drive you totally insane.
That's a short drive!
Best wishes Cap.

This is a picture of my Christmas decorations:
The only reason I have this up is because my GF bought this calendar for me in November. It looked like this in November. I like white chocolate. I hate Christmas. The rest of the house looks the same except for my GF's advent calendar (Maltesers, also empty in November). The only reason I can think of to put sparkly crap up in the house and make a mess is because my cat really appreciates tinsel. I don't appreciate the mess after he chews tinsel. So he doesn't get any. I hate Christmas. -

Yeah, the normal tail and the shiny green one don't mix and match all that well. At least he reflects well in headlights during the winter. Some consolation. I suppose.

Merry Christmas to all! Santa is busy stuffing crap under the tree, so no pictures allowed until he leaves. The little one did not go to bed until after midnight, so it will be awhile before the house starts rising.
Too bad. The chicken apple sausage is calling to me. "Please cook us and eat us for Christmas breakfast tekkie...." -

Christmas is over for another year in Australia. It's now 12:26am and I just got back from dinner with the family.
Wasn't a bad day at all. Got some good presents.
