I've got a feeling someone will ask. so the reason for the two trees is that the one on the right is the older one, and the first one we had after moving to Albuquerque. The kids got so attached to it, that when it got loose and ratty, we upgraded it, but the kids insisted we keep it.

So we used the new one from then on. But last winter we didn't put up any trees because our departure date for Egypt was 12/27, and no decorations got strung either because we would only get to enjoy them for a few days.

This year we missed the decorations so much, my wife suggested we put up the old tree too, and decorate it with only hand-made ornaments, and have traditional German-style candles. We cheated a bit and used electric candles, but the effect was the same. She added a train set around the base since we used the big tree for the presents. The big tree (on left) has all the other ornaments

I'm just reading Off Topic out of boredom since not many people seem to be posting at the moment.

This is a picture of my Christmas decorations:



The only reason I have this up is because my GF bought this calendar for me in November. It looked like this in November. I like white chocolate. I hate Christmas. The rest of the house looks the same except for my GF's advent calendar (Maltesers, also empty in November). The only reason I can think of to put sparkly crap up in the house and make a mess is because my cat really appreciates tinsel. I don't appreciate the mess after he chews tinsel. So he doesn't get any. I hate Christmas.

We had Xmas Eve at the in-laws last night. We are going there again today (lucky me)......
Christmas is for the kids. My wife and I didn't even exchange gifts this year....and it's only our second Xmas together...

Capmaster needs to include his cat in some of those Christmas pictures.

We used to have a cat that loved climbing the tree - and knocking it over when he got to the top

Cured with a toggle bolt in the ceiling and a wire gusset to the top of the tree. Another cure would have been to try for the field goal, but that wouldn't be in keeping with the season

Christmas is over for another year in Australia. It's now 12:26am and I just got back from dinner with the family.

Wasn't a bad day at all. Got some good presents.
