  2. I've purchased most of my karaoke players from Ace Karaoke. They have good prices and good shipping out of California. I also like the fact that they have brick and mortar stores located in California (actual stores).

Anyway, the Ace+sonic (ACE Karaoke, get it) DGX-500 was just released and seems to be selling very well: has sold out a few times already. Basically, Ace Karaoke has put together alot of the features found in the other 'brand' players they sale and added a 5 tray changer (multiple disc handling is important for those into karaoke as a KJ (karaoke jockey) or karaoke parties were one person can be sing while another person's disc is loaded, etc.

This player appears to be OEM'ed by the same manufacturer responsible for the RJ-Tech players and others by looking at the 'double height' chassis and particular specs. I could tell more by looking at the menu system of the chipset is ESS, MediaTek or Zoran, etc.

The DGX-500 is another example of one company having an OEM manufacturer make a DVD player built-to-order and having their name placed onto it. Nothing wrong with that at all and it's the way of economics these days. I've seen the list of features (not the 5-disc tray which is unique) in many other players with the ESS Vibratto II chipset like my RJ-1500DVXII (adds DivX certification) and CAVS DVD-103G (adds SCDG support).
Note the, "32 MB Cache for Smooth Playback Even in Fast Video Motion" feature is new to me. If my players have it, it wasn't mentioned but I can't believe it would be. So this may be unique too.
Also, the "Super Shock Resistance Design - Resist Shocks From Music Vibration. Smooth Playback Even In Cars or Boat." is a claim I haven't seen on most other players.
Especially for this player's tray design is "Disc Tray Auto-Lock Mechanism - Auto Tray-Lock When Off To Protect Laser Lens From Excessive Shocks and Ensure Discs Are Jam-Free During Transportation".
An example of 100% marketing is "Simultaneous Duel Screens Output: VGA & Component Video or RCA & S-Video". Most of 'these' OEM players have a video limitation: you can either connect VGA/Component or RCA/S-Video. The thing is, you are NOT suppose to connect other combinations like Component/S-Video, VGA/Composite for example. So, just good marketing hype there.
Now unless the following is a mis-type, "Built-in 5.1-channel Dolby Digital, AC-3 DTS and HDCD decoders" having a built-in DTS decoder would make this player more unique. Even though the ESS Vibratto II chipset supports DTS decoding, most players don't have it because the 'brand' company placing the 'order' don't pony up for the additional licensing fees. Not having the DTS logo on the front of the DGX-500 is not a good sign either. Many on-line feature lists you see are unfortunately cut and pasted from other sites and many of them have the specs wrong or cut and pasted them themselves from earlier models.
The rack mounting kit is standard for karaoke equipment of this 'level'.
Everything else seems pretty standard stuff for a Chinese manufacturered OEM player.
