Anyone versed in this field? What is the ideal amount of Thujone?

edit-Green Fairy would be a good name for a band
I get email asking me about the effects of my absinthe. It contains the same active ingredients as distilled absinthe and has the same effects. Now, what are these effects? I describe them as a cross between pot, ecstasy, cocaine, strong coffee, and vodka.
    sounds good

There is lots of good info out there on the intarweb. Avoid anything that isn't distilled. And beware unless it cost a butt tons likely its not real Absinthe but instead green something else.

You can get it, but it cost a bundle. And no, I never spent the money to get any myself.

IIRC, isn't this the stuff that drove Van Gogh crazy?

I haven't tried any myself, partly because it's expensive, and hard to find - but I was tempted when I was in a bar in Prague once. It's more available there, apparently, than in the states. I guess it's legal here? I haven't seen any anywhere, but I think you can order it. One liter of it costs over $200, at least on one website I checked.

I thought the Mistral drove Van Gogh mad. I thought it was BS until I visited S.France at the end of Spring. There were only a few windy nights, but it almost drove me mad. The wind was not strong, but constant.Just rustling the few leaves on the veranda all night kept me awake on the edge of madness

I could believe it... the Santa Ana winds (simliar to mistral winds) that blow here this time of year can do the same thing. Every time a front moves thru here, we get winds of 40 - 60 MPH sometimes for two or three days. With the wind whipping the trees and plants around, it's hard to sleep while it's going on.

Living below the Cajon Pass can suck, occasionally. But we also get some nice weather, like the past couple of days, where it's been close to 80°(F) last Friday, about 76° today.
