    On my most recent order from Rima.com I ordered 8x Prodisc DVD-R Inkjet Printables and DVDInfo Pro shows them to be F01's. That order was placed on 11/05/2004. The link that I ordered from is listed below.

  9. just a word of warning, but that 50 pack of prodisc i just got yesterday sucked... burned 3 discs and they all failed. i'm sending them back to SMS. wondering if i just got a bad batch or something...
    i should amend that, 2 showed burning succesfully, but then failed the verification, 1 could not even burn.
    using a TDK +/- 1280B

    Burn 4x on F01, not all writers can do them good at 8x

  11. i tried that as well... actually, the 4x is the one that didn't even burn completely.
    are there any 8x discs that you can actually burn at 8x successfully? a lot of places i read say to do it, you have to burn at 4. why did i spend the $ on a 12x writer if i can't burn at (or near to) it's potential?
    i'm going to try some taiyo's next, just placed an order for them...

    Suckered by marketing. In time, it'll happen.
    Most of those new drives have beta-grade firmware as far as I'm concerned. Too many issues still.
