What I obtained with kprobe (Not a Lite-on drive).

This disk appears to work without problems and the dvd speed is ok.

  2. Looks horrible. However, K-Probe was designed to work ONLY with Lite-On products. Since you didn't use a Lite-On drive I would take these results with a grain of salt. (IMHO)
No, I'm from Iowa. I only work in outer space.

K-Probe wouldn't have worked at all if that drive was not a Lite-On drive, or at least a drive with a Mediatek chipset...

  4. I see speed was set to max, that usually produces poor results too, usually should test no faster than 4x w/ kprobe. As far as the drive not being a lite on, well that certainly is another story.

  5. That's a pretty good NG scan

  6. Whatever the drive returns it's not PI sum 8 errors for sure because you can only get a maximum of 1664 PI sum 8 errors. The scan doesn't tell you anything and you might as well generate a plot with random numbers in your favourite math software if you want some nice graphs...

Try giving CDSpeed v3 Disc Quality Test a go if you don't have a LiteOn
