The other week I bought 5 x 25 spindles for $60 then sold 3 @ $20 each to people who can't get to these cheap outlets, which gave me 2 x 25 spindles FREE. And they were not princo's.

  5. stay away from princos.......
i used a few princo discs and now i only use ritek.
when i burnt discs with princo, and scanned it with kprobe, the results were ok and after about 1 month i scanned them, they had horrible results, don't know why but just did.

riteks are good media, not the best in the class but good....

Yeah the 50-spool Princos are inkjet printable, I've been buying them with no issues...yet. I've checked early burns (6-8 months ago) and they still scan OK, so...!?

At the whirlpool.com forums Princos definately divide opinions... It just seems to me that some people have nothing but problems with them, and others (like myself) have no problems whatsoever!? So who the heck knows...

Having said that, I have had heaps of problems with the Shintaros from JB's. I know they are supposedly Princo, but must be different manufacturing process or something? I dunno, but those "A-Grade 4x Princos" work for me, and those (more expensive) Shintaros don't. It's strange.

Does anyone know where to get inkjet printables in Melbourne that print to the hub???

Princos have always worked OK for me, but every now and again I've gotten a couple of dodgy discs per spindle. I now use Ritek G04s and burn them at 8X no worries.

I nromally buy from www.centrecom.com.au, who have Princo 4X 50 for $26.40 or Ritek G04 50 for $33.00, or I have a contact (Chris@speedyimporters.com.au), who do any quantity of Princos for 53c EA and Ritek G04s for 70c EA, plus $10.00-15.00 for delivery. Their prices change all the time and these were the prices I got in mid August (when I last bought media).
    If in doubt, Google it.

They sell these at the computer swapmeets in melbourne for $32 for 50. I've found them to be the best of the media i've bought.

first i want to say. GOOD WORK GUYS. when i started this thread i did not expect so many people. as many of you have said i have read both good and bad new on princo disc's. i have not had a problem with the a grade princo disc's at all. maybe accasionally 1 bad burn from a 50 spindle. but all my burns from months ago are still fine aswell. i dont know maybe it is some peoples systems/burners? im running a p4 ht 2.6g 512mb ram and a pioneer dvr106 with hacked region free 108 firmware.

i say if princo works for you then use it as it seems to be the cheapest of all in general. but if it does not as a lot of you mention then don't use it.

    cheers

  17. A short drive to a computer market has meant I have never paid more than $23.00 for a 50 pack of printable Princos.

There is always other goodies to empty my pockets with there as well.
