Offer the free copy in exchange for the name and address of the person/company who sold them the machine. That ought to light a fire under the pirates.

Do you honestly think the people are going to rat out the person who sold it to them?
If the customer got a good deal, that customer would keep his mouth shut. -
a lot of people will - when they find out they have a warez copy and they didnt know it (this is a major problem, a lot of people think they have legal copies but dont, when they buy a pc preloaded)
