Going back to Cali for the holidays. What do you recommend. No poll for this one because I only know some and I'm open to suggestion.

Edit:oddly such as United.... http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/1819179/detail.html
"We're going to fight" the proposed fine, Joe Hopkins, a spokesman for Chicago-based United, told The Denver Post.
Hopkins said the duct-tape repair didn't harm safety or place passengers and crews at risk.
The FAA said it allows the use of tape, similar to duct tape, only for certain temporary repairs to aircraft. -
Just avoid Orbitz if you're trolling for fares

Have you checked the brick and mortar travel agencies? They usually run really cheap airfares in the paper, but you need to book early. Whenever I travel, I check online, to get a bearing on the current prices, then head to a local travel agency. A lot of times, it comes out to about the same price as a discount online ticket issuer, when I purchase them locally.
They aren't the cheapest anymore, but I use cheaptickets to get an idea on the highest and lowest prices. -
if your lucky enough to live in a city that southwest fly's out of that is your best bet

American Airlines.
Always had excellent service from them.
Whatever you do, never, ever fly Northworst Airlines - there are younger planes than theirs in that aeroplane graveyard in the desert.Regards,

Originally the airline was going to be called Trans World Air Transport until someone looked at the acronym - "TWAT"
They dropped the last "T", but they're still twats :P

They scrapped the "Operation Iraqi Liberation" label for obvious reasons, too.
