  1. how can I burn a vcd of some files stored in my compu as "video clip" files?
I tryed with Nero but the resulting cd was possible too be read only with the DVD player installed on the compu and nothing happened when I tryed with a regular stand alone Dvd player.
Do i need another program to manage the burning process ?
    Thanks for your time.

I will try and help however I am not quite sure if I understand what you mean? The files on your computer you say they are video clips is that correct? If so what format are they in? To burn them to VCD using nero they would have to be encoded to the correct format, which I believe is mpeg1 for VCD and mpeg2 for SVCD.

Also you need to check out what discs your standalone player is compatible with. DVD+/-RW CD-RW etc.

I'm a bit of a newbie myself but I like to give back something for all the help I have received. Good Luck mate

  3. BY "Video Clip" I'll assume you mean AVIs because that is their description in Windows. You will have to convert them to MPEG-1 and them burn the VCD. I suggest you check out the "GUIDES" section in hte menu to the right.

There's a guide for converting any movie to one VCD here. Your DVD player must be able to play XVCDs for this to work though.
    If in doubt, Google it.

There's one guide that tells you exactly how to convert to MPEG-1. That particular guide will require a player that can play XVCD though.

Then there's the How to convert to VCD section the guides section. Pull up a chair, sit down, and do some reading . While you're at it, read the What is VCD section to your top left also. Everything you need to know is here, and everyone is here to help, but you have to show a capacity to learn Pick a guide, try following it, and if you get stuck, post back with the particular section of the guide that you're experiencing difficulties with.

Look for it in the DVD Players section to your right. This should tell you if other users with the same DVD player have been able to get (X)(S)VCDs to play in it, and should be the very first thing you check before you do anything else.
    If in doubt, Google it.
