Greek lawyers angry at the portrayal of Alexander the Great as a bisexual in Oliver Stones movie...but apparently they haven't seen National Geographic's documentary, Beyond The Movie, Alexander The Great nor read published historical records, 'cause Alexander is portrayed the same from various sources.

I do know how Oliver Stone stretches the truth - especially in his film,
The Doors...if anyone should be suing Stone, it's the family members of Warhol pop icon, Nico.
Stone created a completely opposite charater that is so far from Nico's personality and came up with a false story on how she and Jim Morrison met.
In the film, she's portrayed as a total bimbo and performs oral sex on Jim in an elevator.
How Stone got away with that is beyond me - it was totally insulting to the late Nico, her family and her fans.
Stone's portrayal of Jim Morrison is a bit exaggerated, and also presents alleged incidents as factual accounts.

Same can be said about Stone's film, JFK.

No film can represent the entire truth...but there seems to be more controversy over films based on real life people or events.

Seems to help boost boxoffice grosses though

I'm all for an artist presenting their work as interpretation...but it seems audiences expect accuracy more than viewing with an open mind.

Just kind of curious what anyone else thinks about this film or other films based on true events.
