i just got confused which to buy
sometimes there are good deals on verbatim branded media made in taiwan but do not know if trust them ?

what is exactly difference between verbatim dvd-r branded made in taiwan and verbatim datalifeplus dvd-r made in singapore or japan?

are regular verbatim branded dvd-r made in taiwan any good?
    thanks

Datalife Plus (especially the pastel color ones) are the only Verbatims I buy....though only occasionally. I've never been brave enough to purchase the regular ones.

deejay.2001, what part of the world are you in? I know in the US Verbatim has pretty much dropped the Datalifeplus name. You mentioned DLP made in japan, so I'm assuming you're in the European market. That being the case I'd recommend you stick to DLP.

    6 months ago YES ... but now ... for 4x MCC... 18.99 for 50disks
    Sam's also had Verbatim dvd -r 8x for 29.99. for 50 disks

Which would you guys get ... I bought 6 packs and only opened one of them ... so if the PRICE sucks ... tell me ...NOW! And I can return the 5 unopened ones!

some of the guys here stay up to date on FAIR PRICES!

  11. 8x at best buy for 19.99 Verbatim's ... that sounds alot better the 4x at 18.99.

Now is that without REBATES on Best BUY 50 for 19.99 8x... is that OUT THE DOOR PRICE!

up till now in this thread people didn't say what speed they had at BEST BUY ... I was thinking 4x ... but i didn't know it was 8x.

Unless the Media code is inferior ... if not... I'll go with 8x!

  12. 2 hours latter!

Got 6 spindles of 50 of 8x Verbatin MCC code for 19.99 a piece!

    Media code/Manufacturer ID MCC 02RG20
    Manufacturer Rated Speed 8.0x 11080KBps

    Yeah BABY!

Thanks Gen-An and Lordsmurf for the MCC being GRADE A Media and 8x Price of 19.99 for 50!

    I'm set for a while!

p.s. Deejay the verbatims i bought were the regular ones without saying M Chemical on Package and they actually are MCC too.

To think I just bought the Verbitum Movie Dvd-r 4x at 14.99 for 25 just 2 months ago ... and NOW 8x 50 for 19.99. COOL!

Does this mean the 16x ones are on the WAY!

The 16x Verbatim DVD+Rs are already out in 25 disc spindles for about $25 or so. You're lucky, I went to my local BB and they were completely out of Verbatim 8x media
