  1. I've been thinking about getting one, but I was wondering if it's possible to cook chicken with the bone still in the pieces, or if it has to be removed.....

We have 2 of them. The teflon came off on both units.
Other people on the internet are having that problem too.

Boneless chicken will work. Don't know about it with
    the bones.

Be careful with the teflon. Spray the unit with Pam
    when you use it.

    We really like our units.

    This is what I'm buying......

I have one and I love it. However, chicken legs and wings don't come out well- burned on the outside and too greasy on the inside. This may have to do with the bones. In my opinion then, it does not do chicken with bones well. Fillet stuff is awesome though.

I think I am the only person left without one of these. I am not sure what a George Foreman grill does that a regular oven or microwave doesn't.

A George Foreman grill will give you exact copies of your favorite Dual-Layer DVDs on a single 700MB CD with no compression.

It's faster than a convential oven and cooks more evenly than a microwave

A good friend of mine has one. He brings it out to cool burgers on every few weeks. He puts something (I assume PAM like) on it. Works great, he's also cooked boneless chicken patties before, never seen boned though. OH YEAH. One time we had elk burgers off it, MAN were those good.

I got one when they first came out. Boy, that thing works great. Grilled cheese with some hot sauce and oregano butter is my fav. My sister got one at the bank when she opened up an account. I'm a little jealous cuz she got the big one with the bun warmer on the lid. One of the good things is the slant that makes all the grease drip out.

  14. Never used one but when BBQing microwave the chicken first then BBQ it to make sure it is cooked all the way through. I would imagine you could use the same technique with the George Foreman grill.

  15. My family got one for a present awhile back, never took it out of the box.

We already have a similar griller type thing that you can cook nearly anything on.

I'll have to look more closely next time...
Usually only German names are different....they leave the original spelling for others from overseas.
My last name is HILARIOUS for Germans to try to pronounce. It has a TH in it and it usually comes out T or Z....

I have the big version. My friends all chipped in and gave it to us for Christmas a few years back. It works fine, but I'd rather use coals.

I was gifted with the small one a few years ago. Used it a few times. Don't seem to get quite hot enough to kinda char the outside yet leave the inside of a steak red. More or less everything comes out well done, or rareish and sickly grey on the outside.

That said, unless you have been gifted with one, I would go to the shelf they're on and buy the other brand that has the removeable insert ridged things. Much easier to clean. Pop 'em out and wash 'em.

We also have one at the coop at work that gets a pretty good workout, not lost any teflon yet. Usually you gotta scratch it to start it peeling.

    Cheers,

    George

At one point, I had 3. Two came from grandparents and 1 from somewhere else. Returned two of them to the store, and eventually gave the other one away. I'm not a huge fan of electric grilling. Also, those little grease catcher pans... aren't big enough.
