ok i currently have the MSI TV@nywhere. I was thinking about switching to the ATI TV Wonder, because the MSI does not capture and save as mpeg1 (vcd specs) well at all. It really looks like cr@p. Being that ATI is one of the leaders in videocards i assume they would make good video capturing units as well.
The thing im unsure about the tv wonder is that i notice there is only a one video composite and one s-video input along w/ the coax cable. On my current card has composite for video and audio in and out.
So if i was to use the card to play my game console, how would i get the audio from my ps2? would i have to use a splitter to my sound card?
also comparing the two are they similar in performance? or is one clearly superior?

I have the msi capture card and it captures great for avi and mpeg2,capturing mpeg1(vcd) will look crappy to begin with any card, you will have to feed the audio out from your ps2 to a 1/8 stereo adaptor to go into your line-in on your sound card.
I think,therefore i am a hamster. -
there is capture for avi? ive checked the settings and i dont think theres an option for avi.
also does your remote work? mine is messed up. im not sure if its the remote or the remote sensor thingy. but changing batteries doesnt fix it. -
I use virtual vcr for capturing to avi, just d/l it and set it up,it will detect the drivers for your card, the only thing is it wont work with the tuner.I use the video in for capture, dont like using the software for the tv tuner.
My remote worked maybe once and hasnt worked since.I think, therefore i am a hamster. -
